Cindy Meltzer, Principal and Founder
Cindy Meltzer is a digital marketing strategist for parenting and family-oriented brands. She has extensive experience helping brands engage with parents online through social channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, through content marketing and by partnering with parenting bloggers.
Cindy founded The Social Craft digital marketing firm in 2012. The Social Craft offers marketing consulting for parenting brands that harnesses community-building and engagement tactics to produce measurable results. Her firm offers multiple services, including strategic planning, training and coaching, blogger events/campaigns and independent research. Her clients are local and national parenting brands seeking to engage with parents both online and offline.
Prior to founding The Social Craft, Cindy was Director of Community & Social Media at Isis Parenting, a Boston-based company that offers retail products and educational programming for expecting and new parents. Starting in 2009, Cindy spearheaded social media marketing and online community strategy at Isis, where she built and maintained the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest channels. She revitalized the company blog, turning it into an expert-driven content hub for thousands of parents. She also founded the Isis online education program to increase brand awareness outside of the Boston market. Cindy created vendor partnerships with international brands such as Inglesina and Medela to collaborate on digital marketing campaigns. She developed and managed a successful brand ambassador program. She maintained an analytics dashboard to measure social media marketing effectiveness and ROI.
Cindy has been featured in the Boston Business Journal, The Boston Globe, Social Media Today and The BrainYard and she has spoken at national marketing and business conferences including Mom 2.0, The All Baby & Child Spring Education Conference, The MA Conference for Women, Enterprise 2.0, BlogHer, FutureM Boston and Social Media & Community 2.0 Strategies. She is an author and presenter for the WOMMA Community Manager Certificate Program. Cindy has Master’s degrees in education and social work and a diverse background as an educator and policy analyst.
