A mean searching for hires on LinkedIn

Your brand might be on LinkedIn, but are candidates seeing you the way you want to be seen?

We all know that LinkedIn is the go-to platform for professionals. With over 57 million companies and 800 million professionals all in one network, it’s a goldmine for talent, opportunity, brand storytelling, and employer branding efforts.

While LinkedIn offers solutions like the Life Tab, Media, and Talent Interest Pipelines to help companies shape their employer brand; it’s what we do at The Social Craft. For us, employer branding isn’t a tick box exercise. We don’t just sell LinkedIn content or pipeline builders; we’re experts in making LinkedIn work harder, smarter, and more strategically so that our clients get the most out of the platform (especially as their investment in employer branding continues to increase).

Employer branding is emerging as the second most important topic shaping the future of recruiting

So, what better way to kickstart the year than by having LinkedIn host a Lunch & Learn at The Social Craft to inspire our Crafter crew?

Wait, what’s a Lunch & Learn? We’re glad you asked.

They say the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. But the way to

someone’s mind? We’d argue food does the trick too.

That’s why we host monthly Lunch & Learn sessions where we bring in an industry

expert or one of our Crafters to lead a one-hour workshop during lunchtime on a

trending industry topic. From utilising AI to unpacking end-to-end production, it’s an

hour where we invest our time and minds to sharpen our craft, expand our thinking,

and collaborate as a team. Oh, and did we mention there’s free lunch? Enough said.

Why is LinkedIn our go-to channel for employer branding?

Here are some quick-fire LinkedIn facts that’ll blow your mind (and change the way

you see the platform):

Every hour on LinkedIn globally

  • 780K+ connections are formed

  • 540,000 members apply to a job

  • 1.8 million messages are sent

  • 90 million feed updates are viewed

  • 2.8K hires are made

Every minute on LinkedIn globally

  • 13K+ connections are formed

  • 9,000 members apply to a job

  • 30K messages are sent

  • 1.5 million feed updates are

  • viewed

  • 47 hires are made

If the above isn’t enough proof that LinkedIn is the most powerful professional platform out there, it’s been voted the #1 most trusted professional platform for six years running—and for good reason. With a Microsoft partnership integrating GenAI across the platform and access to the largest, most robust set of professional data in the world, it’s no wonder LinkedIn is leading the way.

And the best part? Their vision aligns with ours.

LinkedIn’s vision: To create economic opportunity for every member of the global

workforce.

The Social Craft’s vision: To create global brands that create economic opportunity by investing in people.

The future of employer branding is on LinkedIn

So, what did we digest from our LinkedIn Lunch & Learn?

While the Crafters munched on lunch, we learned all about LinkedIn’s rollout for FY25 and how The Social Craft is positioned to help our clients take the platform to new heights. As channel specialists (you can read more about that here), we’re tackling three key client challenges LinkedIn identified.

Challenge #1: Insufficient time or resources needed to develop and maintain a company’s employer brand

At The Social Craft, we know that building a strong employer brand doesn’t happen by accident; it takes time and resources. But we easily address this challenge through social leadership strategies and dynamic organic LinkedIn content.

Look at it this way: Employees are talent magnets, and Employee-Generated Content (EGC) is on the rise. Why? Because 88% of consumers trust recommendations from people they know above other marketing messages (Nielsen research). By building employees’, leaders’, and C-suite professionals’ profiles, we strategically create powerful talent magnets. And when you consider that an individual’s network is often 10x stronger than a company’s, social leadership is a no brainer.

But we don’t stop there; we also craft #thumbstopping organic content for LinkedIn. An always-on organic strategy allows brands to share constant proof points, building a continuous stream of brand awareness as employees (aka the talent magnets) share the content, widening the talent pool one connection at a time.

Challenge #2: It’s difficult to be top of mind for job seekers

AI can certainly point talent in the direction of a life page, but at The Social Craft, we build always-on media strategies that make sure a brand hums, sings, and shouts at every stage of a candidate’s journey and decision-making process. From the initial engagement to the final conversion, we know how to keep your employer brand front and center.

We also work closely with recruiters, offering training and insights like “How to rock your LinkedIn profile” and “What LinkedIn is really all about,” so they’re always placing your employer brand center stage in the conversation.

Challenge #3: It’s hard to have a pipeline of top candidates accessible quickly when it comes to hiring time

Boring job descriptions? Not on our watch. We rewrite them to become #thumbstopping roles that attract the eyes of the right talent, so you can build the pipeline of your dreams. We also help company talent craft InMail messages that resonate with your employer brand, further building and strengthening your talent pipeline.

Finally, we’re experts at building LinkedIn life pages filled with strategic content that spotlight a company’s employer brand. These life pages act as always-on recruiters, working 24/7 to maintain a flow of top candidates. If having a pipeline of talent feels impossible, why not let us craft a life page that will do the heavy lifting for you?

At The Social Craft, everything we do is aligned with addressing the top concerns that recruiters and HR professionals face today. We don’t just keep up with employer branding—we’re leading the way by crafting a living, breathing force that attracts, engages, and retains top talent.

With LinkedIn as our partner in this journey, we’re positioned to turn your brand into a #thumbstopping force, transforming these challenges into opportunities that deliver real results and future-proof your business for years to come.
